I am a heavy computer and Internet user that is why I am very careful when it comes to viruses. I know that these critters can be very annoying, not to mention that that they can destroy precious files on your computer. I have been hit by a virus once and it is such a pain. I ended up re-formating my hard drive which was really a drag. I had to replace all the programs that was in my computer which set me back several hundreds of dollars. But you know why I was hit with a virus then? Its because my computer before does not have an antivirus program installed. But now I have learned my lesson. My computer is now protected with what for me is the best antivirus program available, the Kaspersky antivirus.
Before I say why I think Kaspersky is the best antivirus program, let me first tell you my criteria for choosing the best antivirus program. For me, the best antivirus program must, first and foremost be effective in removing viruses and other malware. Kaspersky cannot be beat when it comes to getting rid of viruses. In a test that I have done, Kaspersky has removed 67% of all malware while in normal mode and almost 100% when set in safe mode. Others, in comparison, was able to remove only a little more than half on the average.
Another important thing for me that an antivirus program must have is efficiency when it comes to using computer resources especially the random access memory or RAM. Some of the more effective antivirus programs are very greedy when it comes to using resources. When Kaspersky is running in the computer you barely notice it since it uses very little resources and therefore does not affect computer performance.
I am very much satisfied with Kaspersky that's why I think it is the best.
